Reader! I have squeezed ever single possible ounce of validation, inspiration, motivation, and reassurance out of this blog in the past year, and now it is time to move on. I am tired of publishing things before they are done just for the momentum that having an anonymous audience gives me- I am ready, ready, ready to hold out for bigger and better things. I am growing weary, too, of the idea of blogging itself- the audience is dark, I cannot see who I am performing for, and I’ve come to realize that I wouldn’t want to anyways. So farewell! If I actually know you in real life, this is not, of course, goodbye. But if you are a stranger- as the majority of my readers are- look for me in the bookstore in a couple of years- I’ll be made of paper and glue, and if you take me home I promise, pinky swear and cross my heart, that I will tell you all my secrets.

You are amazing. I will miss your world and your special view on the journey we share. Keep it up some way. I just think you are amazing and that the world is a better place because you try to make sense of the way the world spins us around and mixes us up. I love your writing style, it places me there beside you and sometimes I feel that I can see the world through your eyes. You make me understand. You make me feel. You have a gift. I’m sorry to hear that you’re giving up this blog. It’s been totally brilliant on some of my darkest days. It bends the world sideways and upsidedownie and reminds me that the way I see it is limited and small. This gives me hope. Your books will give the world hope, Carrot. Carrot, I know what you are saying about the momentum. When I blog about something that I am excited about, I check too often to see if anyone stopped by, or how many people. I sensed it becoming waaaaaay too important.
I hope you find a way to do it without having it be more than a place to share your writing and get feedback and appreciation for that.
If you get a chance, check out a blog… I don’t have the exact web info… It’s called Cassandra Pages. She’s from Vermont, living in Canada, a writer.
You can tell she isn’t living for the blog, but it’s a satisfying part of her life.

It is a weird and wonderful thing to me that just because of this here internet I will every so often wonder about the life and thoughts of somebody who I have never met living in a van in Alaska. But I am glad that I have had the opportunity to read all that I have.
